Welcome to the Revision Village French B Assessment Practice!
This section is designed to help you in the preparation for the IB French B examinations.
What is the Revision Village Language B Assessment Practice?
The Assessment Practice is divided into three sections: Reading, Listening, and Writing. Each section has exercises to help you develop the skills necessary for each paper.
The Reading and Listening exercises are similar in length and complexity to those in the real IB examinations. They are organized by theme (Identities, Experiences, Human Ingenuity, Social Organization, Sharing the Planet), with separate exercises for each subtheme. This allows you to decide how and what to revise or study. Each separate practice also has a determined difficulty to help you select the level and keep track of your progress.
Writing exercises are guided step-by-step, from understanding the prompt to developing ideas and improving grammar and vocabulary, and finally to the full response. Each prompt is designed following IB guidelines and style to offer effective and authentic practice.
How do solutions and feedback work?
All questions are accompanied by comprehensive markschemes that help you understand the solutions and provide further guidance to improve your results. The video walks you through the answers, explaining in detail.
Use the Newton AI Chatbot to ask words you do not understand, explanations on how to respond to particular questions, or translations for words you do not know. You can use the chatbot in your own language if you need!
Finally, when you submit your answers, you will get detailed feedback and explanations for incorrect responses to help you build your skills and reach the best results.
Should I complete the exercises in order?
The exercises are organized by theme. You do not need to follow the exercises in order. You can choose to study a certain theme, you can choose to do exercises with a determined difficulty level, or you can set a certain number of practices per week to complete. Remember: Practice makes perfect!
What is the difference between Open Study and Examination Mode?
This feature can be attempted in either Open Study or Examination Mode. The Open Study Mode will allow you to answer and review each question at your own pace. You can receive carefully tailored AI feedback and consult the written markscheme and video for each question at each step.
The Examination Mode is a simulation of exam conditions. Under this mode, you submit all your answers when finished. You may choose to answer questions in any order you wish and go back to change answers before you submit. After completion, you will have access to all markschemes and video solutions, and you will receive AI feedback and an overall 1 - 7 mark on your submitted work. To best simulate exam conditions, we advise that you time yourself using the duration indicated.
In Examination Mode, your answers will be saved so you can always return to them. In Open Study Mode, you can attempt each question anew.
